How you'll contribute as an employee of Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital you
will join a team that embodies a culture of teamwork and effective
communication, essential for the delivery of patient care. You will work with a
team committed to ensure patients receive optimal medical attention and support.
As an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you will provide direct patient care under
the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering treatments, assisting in
assessments, and supporting interdisciplinary care planning in accordance with
the patient’s needs.
* Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and
clinical condition.
* Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication
administration procedures.
* Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
* Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
* Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN
supervision.
* Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the
interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
* Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and
educate patients and families.
* Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and
reduces medical errors.
* Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and
family learning needs.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Demonstrates strong clinical skills and commitment to safe, patient-centered
care.
* Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.

What we’re looking for Passionate for Patient Care Nurse that is dedicated to
support the team to provide the best care possible
* Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
program.
* Experience: Minimum one year of Medical/Surgical, Inpatient Rehab or Step
Down experience in an acute care setting required.
* License: Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
* Certifications: CPR/BLS certification required; IV Certification highly
preferred or must be obtained within 6 months
