How you’ll contribute
An Advanced Pharmacy Technician excels in this role:
* Performs dispensing and billing functions in appropriate dispensing program
* Delivers patient- specific and floor stock medications accurately to patient
care areas per department practices
* Assists the pharmacist in medication compounding
* Obtains accurate and timely medication history for each patient as directed
* Demonstrates awareness of differing physiologic requirements of patient age
groups when performing tasks.
* Completes medication storage checks and narcotic inventory reconciliation as
directed
* Participates and attends meetings as required or assigned
* Performs general clerical duties, such as answering phones, filing
requisitions, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
What we’re looking for
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Michigan Pharmacy Technician License (NOT temporary or limited)
* 1-year related experience (preferred)
* Knowledge of Medical/ Nursing Terminology. Familiar with aseptic technique
