The Pharmacy Technician handles various pharmacy tasks, making every day exciting and rewarding! Responsibilities: * Evaluates and executes new and refill prescription orders and appropriate substitutions, according to formulary. * Operates WinPharm pharmacy software and systems to label and provide medication to patients. * Adjudicates insurance claims. * Conducts point-of-sale operation. * Demonstrates inventory awareness and management. * Masters prior authorization management and resolution. * Handles customer service cases successfully. * Provides answers to patients’ questions about medications, the practice, etc. * Performs other responsibilities as assigned. Education: * High school diploma or equivalent. Professional Certification (DD provides reimbursement): * Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required within 30 days of hire date, if not already obtained * Pharmacy Technician Certification required within 150 days of hire date, if not already obtained Additional Notes * Ability to travel to other locations in the zone as needed. * Schedule consists of 3 days of 12-hour shifts/week from 6:45AM-7:15PM and 1 Saturday/month from 6:45AM-12:30PM
