Temporary Per Diem Phlebotomist (3-Month Assignment)

Hours: 10-12 hours per week
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Per Diem Phlebotomist for a temporary three-month assignment. The selected candidate will provide high-quality specimen collection services for patients receiving care in long-term structured residential programs and outpatient treatment settings. This role requires travel between multiple program locations and the ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional patient care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on adult patients.
Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation. Provide compassionate and professional patient care in residential and outpatient environments.
Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Communicate effectively with nursing, medical, and program staff.
Travel between multiple program sites as scheduled.
Requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program.
Current Phlebotomy Certification (preferred or required based on state regulations).
Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred, not required.
Have centrifuge experience (blood spinning)
Experience working with behavioral health, long-term residential, or outpatient populations is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Travel Requirements A valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle are required.
Must be willing and able to travel between multiple residential and outpatient program locations throughout the workday.
